Terms & Conditions

These terms govern use of this site. By visiting or using its tools, you agree to follow them. If you do not accept these conditions, do not use the site.

This is a privately owned reference site with no government, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections affiliation. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers an FCRA-covered service for credit, employment, insurance, or housing decisions. The site points to Webster County and Iowa jail-record resources; it is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Site

This private resource is not operated by a government office. It stores no official booking or custody records and cannot confirm a person's status, release anyone, post bond, or file a government document. Its pages direct readers to Webster County jail and records contacts, Iowa court and corrections systems, and independent research tools.

Acceptable Use

You may use the pages only in a lawful way that respects other people and the operation of the service. You agree that you will not:

  • break a law while using the site;
  • stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten another person;
  • base hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another regulated decision on site content;
  • seek unauthorized access to an account, server, or network;
  • operate bots or scrapers against the site; or
  • disrupt access for other visitors.

No Consumer Reports

This site is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither it nor its advertising partners provides screening services. You agree not to use any information for:

  • a hiring, firing, or other employment decision;
  • tenant selection or another housing decision;
  • creditworthiness or an insurance premium;
  • a license, permit, or government-benefit decision; or
  • any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Links to Other Services

Pages link to jail resources, sheriff and corrections sites, court portals, legal-aid information, federal locators, news sources, and outside search tools. Those destinations have their own content, data practices, availability, and terms. A link does not endorse a service or make this site responsible for it.

No Warranties

The site and its contents are supplied "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that:

  • information is accurate, complete, or current;
  • the site will always be available;
  • software is free from errors or security flaws; or
  • a partner tool will return a complete result.

Custody and public records can change quickly. Nothing on these pages is an official statement by Webster County, a sheriff, a jail, a court, or another government agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent Iowa law permits, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold the site, its operators, and its partners harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees that result from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.

Intellectual Property

Original text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Webster County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, publish, or modify that material without written permission, except where the law independently allows it.

Changes to These Terms

These conditions may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when posted on this page, and continued use after posting means acceptance of that version.

Access May Be Revoked

Access may be limited, suspended, or blocked at any time and without notice, including when use threatens the site, violates these terms, or harms another person.

Iowa Law Governs

Iowa law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Iowa.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be limited or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About the Terms

Questions about these conditions may be sent through the Get in Touch page. Official record questions should go to the office that maintains the record.
